The famous sports tourism event Navarino Challenge is enriching its program with even more activities for the whole family and welcomes you on September 11th-13th, 2015, in Messinia and Costa Navarino!
This year's half-marathon (21.1 km), 10 km race, and 5 km race (running and power walking) and the 1 km race for children will be held on Sunday, September 13th. The starting line and finish line for all the routes will be the same (at the Navarino Dunes in Costa Navarino) with the runners heading along the shore towards Pylos, where the runners of all distances can enjoy the magical scenery of Voidokoilia, which has been declared one of the best beaches in the world, before they return towards the finish line.

Every 3 kilometers there will be a refreshment station with water, bananas, halvah bars, and sesame crunch for the runners
Every participant will receive a special kit with a racing number, a t-shirt, and commemorative gifts from the sponsors. Everyone will receive a medal upon finishing.
At the event venue, there will be tents with water, bananas, halvah bars, and sesame crunch for all the participants so that they can obtain the necessary energy before and after the races! There will be an info desk and a registration office, as well as a bag drop-off tent where they can leave their personal effects in order to run in the races. At the same time, at the end of the event we will also have other enjoyable activities, gifts for children, and a holiday atmosphere.
Important personalities from the world of sports will be present this year as well, honoring the event with their presence, while at the same time helping to promote sports activities. Specifically, the Greek-American ultra-marathon runner Dean Karnazes, an ambassador of the “Navarino Challenge” is returning to our country for the third year. He will have with him the Olympic winner and two-time world champion swimmer, Spyros Gianniotis, the two-time Olympic silver medalist in taekwondo, Alexandros Nikolaidis, the top Pilates trainer Mandi Persaki with her team, and Alexandros Nikolaidis, a kickboxing champion.
In the framework of the informational day on the “Navarino Challenge”, the organizers will honor Periklis Iakovakis, the top Greek Olympic winner and world champion 400-meter hurdler, for his overall contribution to track and field and his moral character.
