Helsinki City Marathon is the biggest marathon event in Finland. Set yourself the challenge to run the 42,195-metre long route on the beautiful streets of Helsinki! The refreshment points, happy co-runners and the fresh sea breeze along the route will speed you all the way to the finish.
The route of the Helsinki City Marathon is strongly influenced by the sea and the parks. Almost half of the course follows the coast line of the Baltic Sea, and the course going through beautiful parks will guarantee you an unforgettable marathon experience.
There are fifteen refreshment points along the route at which water and sports drink are served. At some of the refreshment points pickles and bananas are also served. In addition, you can find different refreshments at the finish.
Participants are able to store their valuables (e.g. phone, wallet, watch) for 5 EUR fee. Runners will have the opportunity to use the swimming stadium services free of charge.
Toilets are available at the Olympic Stadium. Also temporary toilets are located at the start area and along the route. Please note that the might be a queue at the toilets due to large number of participants.
All registered runners must collect his or hers race package (incl. timing chip, bib number, zip tie, safety pins, and the event t-shirt) by 1:00 PM on the race day. Please note that personal registration card must be presented at the race package pick-up. The registration cards will be send to mail addresses given while registering for the event.
If the participant pays the 10 € insurance fee at the same time with the entry fee, he/she is able to postpone the registration to next year’s event in case of a sickness or an injury.

The marathon is situated in Helsinki, Finland. It was established in 1980 and is normally held in August. The marathon is run "in the settings of Baltic sea and open parks", and is considered to be one of the most beautiful marathons in the world.
All finishing participants get a Helsinki City Marathon -medal and the winners of the marathon receive a 3 500 EUR prize (both men and women).
