23 km road race in Transylvania, Seklerland with 900 m level difference. Start is at the smallest city of the European Union: Baile Tusnad/Tusnadfürdő and the finish is at the only vulcanic lake of Europe: the lake Saint Ann. Time limit 3 hours 30 mins. The race can be run indivually or in relay.

Route description:

900 meter level diffference on asphalt road starting in Baile Tusnad, then running through the neighbouring village, Bixad. By the 7th km you leave behind the houses and you only run in the nature, within the beautiful pine tree forest but still on an asphalt road. The race ends at the only vulcanic lake of Europe, the Lake St. Ann, which according to the legend protects you from death for a year if you have a bath in it.

Tourist package: We offer special running tourist packages for runners coming from abroad. The packages include , transport from Airport (Bucharest Henri Coanda Airport) accomodation and thermal bath entry tickets. Plus we have a lot of extra program options, like visiting the Dracula Castle, or the Morder Lake or Cart Picnic with Pálinka tasting.

Full service packages are offered for running tourists (including accomodation, airport transfer from Bucharest, and thermal bath entry ticket after the race). To reserve the Running Tourist packages, please write to attila.szoo@tusnadmarathon.ro.

Packages include:
1. Transport from Airport (from Bucharest Henri Coanda Airport) to Baile Tusnad.
2. Accomodation for 3 nights in Baile Tusnad (Szent Kristóf Pension)
3. Entry ticket to the Thermal Bath in Baile Tusnad.
4. Transport back from Baile Tusnad to Bucharest.

Price:
2 people: 200 € / person
3-10 people: 170 € / person
11-14 people: 155 € / person
15-18 people: 140 € / person

Race numbers can be picked up on the 3rd of June from 14:00-19:00 or on 4th June from 8:00-9:30 in the address Oltului street no. 71 Baile Tusnad, Hargita County Romania 535100.
