A unique trail running event in Barcelona, you can choose from the following distances: 21 km - 42 km - 69 km - 100 km.

Route description:

When compared to last year, there will be less track and more narrowed trail path.

UTBCN
The Ultra Trail Barcelona (UTBCN) is the key competition with appriximately 100 km and ±4.500 m of difference in height. You can acquire 3 qualification points for the Ultra-Trail du MontBlanc. Start at 7.00 am in Passeig de l’Església de Begues, in the centre of Parc Natural del Garraf.

The race have cash prizes for the winners.

LTBCN
The Long Trail Barcelona (LTBCN) is longer than the marathon and the half marathon distances. You can acquire 2 qualification points for the Ultra-Trail du MontBlanc. Start at 8.00am in Passeig de l’església de Begues, in the centre of Parc Natural del Garraf.

MTBCN
The Marathon Trail Barcelona (MTBCN) is characterized by discovering the mythical distance of the marathon (42 km). It is considered a medium-distance race within the context of Ultra Resistance racing.

STBCN
The Speed Trail Barcelona (STBCN) is characterized by discovering the mythical distance of half marathon (21 km). It is considered a fast race within the context of Ultra Resistance racings.

Refreshment stations:

The STBCN has 2 refreshment stations set up along the route, in addition to one station in the start/finish.

The MTBCN has 5 refreshment stations set up along the route, in addition to one station in the start/finish.

The LTBCN has 7 refreshment stations set up along the route, in addition to one station in the start/finish.

The UTBCN has 10 refreshment stations set up along the route and 4 surprise check points strategically situated in order to avoid taking shortcuts and to guarantee valid results.

Due to environmental reasons no cups will be provided at the refreshment stations.It is the runners' responsibility to bring their own cups and/or bottles to be refilled at the assigned stations.

Compulsory material for UTBCN and LTBCN

  • Plastic cup or bottle etc. to be refilled at the refreshment stations
  • Water container or other way of hydration (camelbak), minimum 1 litre
  • Windproof or waterproof jacket (*)
  • Headlamp with spare batteries
  • Survival blanket (220x140)
  • Mobile phone (charged and protected)

(*) In case the weather forecast (Catalonia’s Meteorological Service) predicts a high probability of rain, the participants must wear a waterproof and breathable jacket, for example Gore-Tex, Membrain, H2O, YVENT or similar instead of the required windproof jacket.

It is compulsory to have a medical certificate asserting your physical ability to take part in the race, signed by a doctor and dated less than 12 months before the race day. A runner who does not provide such a certificate, will be disqualified from the race even if they have already paid the entry fee.

Compulsory material for MTBCN and STBCN

The runner must have a cup (there are no plastic cups at the refreshment stations), a water container or camelbak etc. with a minimum capacity of 500 ml, as well as a properly charged and protected mobile phone.

Accident insurance:

An accident insurance is obligatory for those who do not have an accident coverage for competitions issued by the FEEC (minimum C licence), the FEDME (Spanish Federation of Mountain and Climbing Sports) or other foreign federation, which is a member of the UIAA (International Union of Mountaineering Associations). You can also participate in both of the races by registering with the FEEC temporary insurance. The temporary licence costs 5 € for both races.
