Great event in a lovely city

The whole beautiful city of Göteborg seemed to be living along with the over 60 000 runners signed for the race. People were scattered along the route, having fun at the grass fields and cheering joyfully. In the evening many runners could be recognized from their golden medals and still people seemed to congratulate them.

Despite of the vast participant amount the event itself went smoothly. There were a couple of challenging climbs along the route and due to the great number of participants it got a little bit crowded every now and then. This would probably not been a problem if I would have run along with the crowd, but because I was bypassing people all the time the crowd slowed me down during the race.

The route is not the best possible for making records, but it is sure worth running because of the very positive atmosphere and very friendly cheering spectators! Just keep in mind that you'll get a good start group if you want to run the race fast.
