Tallinn is an ancient and modern city between the East and the West. It is exactly this combination of old and new that the course of Tallinn Marathon will introduce. It is hard to describe the beauty of these sights – one must see them for oneself!
The marathon will consist of two 21,2 km laps. The course will consist of pavement roads and will be marked. For everybody’s safety, the participants must obey orders given by traffic organizers.
The time limit for marathon is 7 hours.
There will be 15 refreshment stations on the course (appox. every 3km). The stations will offer water, sports drinks, food, etc. There are also toilets and first aid at every station.
There are changing facilities and a bag collection point in the competition center on Freedom square. Check the competition center map.
On the day of the marathon you will be able to leave your clothing-bag at the collection point on the green area of Kaarli street from 7.30 am onwards. All marathon and half marathon runners have a special clothing bag they receive with start documents marked with their individual start number. All 10 km runners need to use a bag that is properly closed. Please note that these bags are for clothing only and you should not include anything else especially no valuables or fragile possessions. Please ensure that you give your bag to our authorized collection point only. Do not leave your clothing bag unattended at any time in any other place. Clothing bags must be collected by 5 pm at the latest.
Showers are located in Tallinn Sports Hall sport center. The Marathon Expo is open on the 10th and 11th of September.

I ran the 10K race in Tallinn in 2014. The event was very well organized.
First 4 kilometers of the course was almost dead straight and going through very wide venue with no bad overcrowding. Nice scenes towards the sea. Last part of the race included an awful cobblestone section.
I enjoyed the event, though it would be great to get some protein drink/food in the finish area.

Good atmosphere, not too crowded and very fast, yet interesting route. Also one of the best runs in regards to bang for the buck.

The whole event was well organized, and despite thousands of participants, there were practically no queues and all the starting protocols worked smoothly. The course was a there-and-back one, so depending on one's preferences it either works or doesn't. The scenery to the waterfront and the silhouette of the old town were a plus on parts of the course. There were plenty of water and sport drinks on the 21,1 km course, and the gel at 12 km was also good. Coming to the finish was great with lots of spectators and a medal right after the finish line.

My first whole marathon was a great experience. Thank you to the organisers and especially to all of you who ran with me:). The only critique I have is the lack of refreshments between 34 and 37 km. One more waterpoint would make the route perfect!

Thanks to the changing scenery, the route was interesting. Relatively flat and fast course suitable also for beginners. Great chance to explore city if you are visiting the first time or see it from the new perspective. However, prepare for the narrow streets in the Old town.
There was no remarkable waiting or big queues despite of the big size of the event. The instructions were also clear.
The atmosphere was good and international - there were especially many Finnish runners.

Vaihtelevien maisemien ansiosta mielenkiinto säilyi koko matkan ajan.
